The nursery ministry provides a safe, caring environment for children age 0-2 so that their parents can learn and worship without distraction during the services. The nursery ministry is available during all Sunday services as well as our Wednesday evening service. In addition to the care of qualified nursery workers, we provide a tag system for security, and pagers to let mothers know of any needs that require their personal attention.
The preschool ministry at Bible Baptist Church is designed to instruct children age 3-5 in the truths of Scripture, and to prepare them for being involved in the adult worship service. Preschoolers meet during the worship service at 9:45 AM and for Sunday school at 11:15 AM. On Wednesdays during the school year, the preschoolers are involved in the AWANA program, and during the summer they have a PeeWee program that includes lessons and songs. During this tender age, the Gospel is present in every lesson.
Junior Church, for children in 1st through 3rd grade, meets during the Sunday morning worship service at 9:45 AM. Junior church is designed for age-specific challenge and instruction from God's Word. The children also enjoy challenges and learn songs that instill Biblical principles.
The elementary Sunday school program provides separate classes for children 3-years-old to 6th grade. Led by teachers and teachers' assistants who are committed to caring for and instructing them, these classes form an important part of the children's growth in Biblical understanding.
Bible Baptist Church uses the widely successful AWANA program to disciple and nurture children from 3-years-old to sixth grade. Led by Tom Sparks, AWANA meets on Wednesday evenings at 6:45 and is complete with challenging competitions, as well as Scripture memory programs and Bible lessons. Once a year, the children have the opportunity to compete in the AWANA car derby.
